CHARLENE MAX has served in full time ministry with her husband Gary for over 50 years. In 1983 they immigrated from America to NZ with three small children. They resided in Palmerston North for 13 years before shifting to Dunedin where she presently resides. Throughout the years Charlene has served Christ through teaching, counselling, and music within the local Church. She is also a Red Cross volunteer in the refugee resettlement program. She has written two devotional books. “Quiet Moments” (2007) published by Castle Publishing, and “Choices of the Heart” (2021), self-published. Her three children are married and she has six grandchildren. Their son Brandon co-pastors at the Lighthouse Baptist Church of Dunedin with his dad. Charlene says, “In life’s journey, my greatest joy comes from knowing Jesus Ioves me. He really does. Always has. And always will.
