LIFE IS… An ordinary Kiwi reflects. What’s life on Earth really like? Who are we? What are our Idols? What’s the future hold? George reflects on a variety of issues vital to us all. “LIFE IS…will speak to a wide range of readers, for it observes trends in our world with common sense and insight, in which faith links with realism and a broad-ranging compassion. He combines stories and colour with reflection and purpose.” (Dr Peter Lineham, MNZM, Professor Emeritus of History, Massey University). “In his own inimitable style George Bryant asks the simple but profound questions which explore what it means to be human. I commend it warmly to all of life’s seekers.” (Roger Moses, CNZM, past Principal of Wellington College). “The story of one man’s pilgrimage in search of meaning, justice and peace. It’s challenging and thoughtful, even provocative, and full of wisdom.” (Very Rev Ray Coster, past Moderator of the New Zealand Presbyterian Church). 204pp – 12 sketches. Agents Of Change

AGENTS OF CHANGE: Kiwis Making A Real Difference contains the stories of fifteen Kiwis who are making a real difference to the way we live, in communities throughout New Zealand. Some are making housing affordable and offering comprehensive care services. Others are saving teenagers from addictions and transforming low socio-economic areas. Read about how a doctor and his wife are running a unique medical clinic, and how a former crisis nurse is leading a top line chaplaincy service. Some stories portray people improving race relations, making workplaces safe, and influencing local and national politics. One person has set up rural social services; one is painting scenes that inspire; and another is a leader in progressive education. The book examines the motivations behind these inspirational people. Why do they become agents of change? And what sorts of people are they?
