    Dog Tucker

DOG TUCKER. Angry and defiant, thirteen-year-old Devlin believes he’s unwanted. He’s fed up with changing schools and foster homes, and decides to run away from his foster-uncle’s farm. But then he meets a horse about to become dog tucker and a deception unravels… This is a story about making choices, and of discovering how hope can lie in unlikely places. Dog Tucker is a children’s novel for ages ten to fourteen. It was published in 2009 by Scholastic NZ and is available for purchase through book stores in New Zealand and Australia. Dog Tucker received a Storylines Notable Book Award in 2010 for Junior Fiction.
