The Christian Writer is a bimonthly magazine published by NZ Christian Writers and distributed to all its members.
Contributions on the theme of writing are always welcome. If you have some advice or encouragement for Christian writers, or an announcement of some event of interest to members, do send it to the editor for consideration by the 20th day of the month prior to the publication date. Submissions should be no more than 500 words long and hard copy manuscripts will not be returned unless a self-addressed stamped envelope is enclosed. The editor reserves the right to condense and / or edit any contributions for reason of space. Ideas and opinions will not be edited, but editing of a technical nature may occur to maintain the highest quality of writing possible.
Magazine issues are available in February, April, June, August, October and December each year. A subscription to this magazine is included as part of your membership. You’ll receive 6 thirty page magazines per year. Each magazine gives you articles and tips on writing of all types from poetry to prose, lots of encouragement, competitions to enter, markets for your work and information on what’s happening in NZ Christian Writers. It’s in A5 format and is 30 pages long, printed with a soft cover. It includes a variety of useful articles and items, as well as winning competition entries, together with critiques written by the judges about the entries. See the Competitions page for more details.
